Mr. Arno Dupont establishes this Privacy Policy with the purpose of informing users of the website hosted at the following address: acetics.be (the site), in full transparency, about how personal data is collected and processed by ACETICS SRL.
The term “User” refers to any user, whether an individual or legal entity, who visits or interacts in any way with the Site.
As such, ACETICS determines all technical, legal, and organizational means and purposes for the processing of Users’ personal data. ACETICS commits to taking all necessary measures to ensure the processing of personal data in compliance with the law of July 30, 2018, concerning the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter, “the Law”) and the European Regulation of April 26, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) (hereinafter the “Regulation”).
ACETICS is free to choose any natural or legal person who processes users’ personal data at its request and on its behalf (hereinafter the “Processor”). Where applicable, ACETICS commits to selecting a Processor that provides sufficient guarantees regarding the technical and organizational security measures for the processing of personal data, in view of the Law and the Regulation.
Processing of Personal Data
The use of the Site by Users may result in the communication of personal data. The processing of this data by Arno Dupont, in his capacity as Data Controller, or by service providers acting in the name and on behalf of ACETICS, will be in accordance with the Law and the Regulation.
Personal data will be processed by ACETICS in accordance with the purposes mentioned below, via:
Purpose of Personal Data Processing
In accordance with Article 13 of the Regulation, the purposes of personal data processing are communicated to the User and are as follows:
- to call you or send you information by email that we believe to be of legitimate interest to you or that you have requested;
- to respond to your requests for information or to process orders you have placed;
- for commercial purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, identifying usage trends, and strengthening, improving, or modifying our services;
- when we deem it necessary or appropriate: (1) under applicable law; (2) to comply with legal proceedings; (3) to respond to requests from public and governmental authorities; (4) to enforce our terms and conditions; (5) to protect our operations; (6) to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property and/or that of others; and (7) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages we may incur.
Personal Data Likely to be Processed
The User consents, during the visit and use of the Site, that ACETICS collects and processes, according to the methods and principles described in this Privacy Policy, the following personal data:
- All personal data you have provided to us consensually or contractually, such as your name, billing and delivery address, phone number, email address, and payment data.
- Personal data that will help us contact you in the future, such as your name, company name, address, phone number, and email address, because we believe there is a legitimate interest for both parties.
- Personal data contained in contact forms and online surveys you complete, records of our correspondence and phone calls, and any other instances where you send, receive, or exchange messages related to our services.
- Information that is not personally identifiable. For example, browsers, operating systems, and devices used to access our content, details about the countries, cities, and languages in which our services are viewed, and information about how and when our services are accessed. Acetics purpose in collecting this non-personal data is to better understand how Acetics visitors use the website.
- We and third-party providers may also collect information regarding your visit to our website. This may include your geographic location, browser and device type, pages you viewed, duration of your visit, and search terms used.
Consent
By accessing and using the Site, the User declares to have read and freely, specifically, informedly, and unequivocally agreed to the processing of personal data concerning them. This agreement covers the content of this Privacy Policy.
Consent is given by the positive act by which the user has checked the box proposing the Privacy Policy in hyperlink. This consent is an essential condition for carrying out certain operations on the site or for allowing the user to enter into a contractual relationship with ACETICS. Any contract binding ACETICS and a user relating to the services and goods offered on the site is subject to the acceptance of the Privacy Policy by the user.
The User consents to the Data Controller processing and collecting, in accordance with the methods and principles included in this Privacy Policy, their personal data communicated on the Site or in connection with the services offered by ACETICS, for the purposes indicated above.
The User has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not compromise the lawfulness of processing based on consent previously given.
Duration of Storage of Users’ Personal Data
In accordance with Article 13 §2 of the Regulation and the Law, the Data Controller only retains personal data for the time reasonably necessary to accomplish the purposes for which they are processed.
This duration is in all cases less than: 3 months.
Recipients of Data and Disclosure to Third Parties
Personal data may be transmitted to employees, collaborators, subcontractors, or suppliers of ACETICS who offer adequate data security guarantees, and who collaborate with ACETICS in the context of marketing products or providing services. They act under the direct authority of ACETICS and are particularly responsible for collecting, processing, or subcontracting this data.
In all cases, the recipients of the data and those to whom this data has been disclosed respect the content of this Privacy Policy. ACETICS ensures that they will process this data only for the intended purposes, in a discreet and secure manner.
In the event that the data would be disclosed to third parties for direct marketing or prospecting purposes, the User will be previously informed so that they can express their consent to the use of this personal data.

Users’ Rights
At any time, the User can exercise their rights by sending a message by email to the following address: [email protected], or a letter by post, attaching a copy of their identity card to the following address: Rue du Château 16, 6900 Marche-En-Famenne.
Right of Access
In accordance with Article 15 of the Regulation, ACETICS guarantees the User’s right of access to their personal data. The User has the right to obtain access to said personal data as well as the following information:
- the purposes of the processing;
- the categories of personal data concerned;
- the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients in third countries or international organizations;
- where possible, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored, or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period;
- the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, referred to in Article 22(1) and (4) of the Regulation and, at least in those cases, meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing for the data subject
The Data Controller may charge reasonable fees based on administrative costs for any additional copy requested by the User.
When the User makes this request by electronic means (for example via email), the information is provided in a commonly used electronic form, unless the User requests otherwise.
The copy of their data will be communicated to the User no later than one month after the receipt of the request.
Right to Rectification
ACETICS guarantees the right to rectification and erasure of personal data to the User.
In accordance with Article 16 of the Regulation, incorrect, inaccurate or irrelevant data can be corrected or erased at any time. The User first makes the necessary changes from their user account/other, unless these cannot be made autonomously, in which case the request can be made to the address [email protected]
In accordance with Article 19 of the Regulation, the Data Controller notifies each recipient to whom the personal data have been disclosed of any rectification of personal data, unless such communication proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. The data controller provides the data subject with information about these recipients if the data subject requests it.
Right to Erasure
The User has the right to obtain the erasure of their personal data as soon as possible in the cases listed in Article 17 of the Regulation.
Where the Data Controller has made the personal data public and is obliged to erase it pursuant to the previous paragraph, the Data Controller, taking account of available technology and the cost of implementation, takes reasonable steps, including technical measures, to inform other data controllers processing the personal data that the data subject has requested the erasure by such controllers of any links to, or copy or replication of, those personal data.
The two preceding paragraphs do not apply to the extent that processing is necessary:
- for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information;
- for compliance with a legal obligation which requires processing by Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject or for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;
- for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
In accordance with Article 19 of the Regulation, the Data Controller notifies each recipient to whom the personal data have been disclosed of any erasure of personal data or any limitation of processing carried out, unless such communication proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. The data controller provides the data subject with information about these recipients if the data subject requests it.
Right to Restriction of Processing
The User has the right to obtain the restriction of processing of their personal data in the cases listed in Article 19 of the Regulation.
In accordance with Article 19 of the Regulation, the Data Controller notifies each recipient to whom the personal data have been disclosed of any restriction of processing carried out, unless such communication proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. The data controller provides the data subject with information about these recipients if the data subject requests it.
Right to Data Portability
In accordance with Article 20 of the Regulation, Users have the right to receive from ACETICS the personal data concerning them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. Users have the right to transmit this data to another data controller without hindrance from ACETICS in the cases provided for by the Regulation.
When the User exercises their right to data portability pursuant to the previous paragraph, they have the right to have the personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another, where technically feasible.
The exercise of the right to data portability is without prejudice to the right to erasure. This right does not apply to processing necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
The right to data portability shall not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.
Right to Object and Automated Individual Decision-Making
The User has the right to object at any time to the processing of their personal data due to their particular situation, including the automation of data carried out by ACETICS. In accordance with Article 21 of the Regulation, ACETICS will no longer process the personal data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests and rights and freedoms of the User, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
When personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, the User has the right to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning them for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing.
Where the data subject objects to processing for direct marketing purposes, the personal data shall no longer be processed for such purposes.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
The User has the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of their personal data by ACETICS with the Data Protection Authority,

Limitation of Liability of the Data Controller
The website may contain links to other websites owned by third parties not related to ACETICS. The content of these sites and their compliance with the Law and the Regulation are not the responsibility of ACETICS.
The holder of parental authority must give their express consent for the minor under 16 years of age to disclose personal information or data on the website. ACETICS strongly advises persons exercising parental authority over minors to promote responsible and safe use of the Internet. The Data Controller cannot be held responsible for having collected and processed personal information and data of minors under 16 years of age whose consent is not effectively covered by that of their legal parents or for incorrect data – particularly concerning age – entered by minors. Under no circumstances will personal data be processed by the Data Controller if the User specifies that they are under 16 years of age.
ACETICS is not responsible for the loss, corruption or theft of personal data caused in particular by the presence of viruses or following computer attacks.
